ABOUT TITAN
KAYAKS...
Firstly welcome and thanks for visiting our new site.
We're all pretty excited here at Titan HQ to have
finally seen the site released.
So you'd like to know more about Titan and why we're
here?
Titan Kayaks is an athlete based high performance
water craft company. That’s our generic pitch
anyways. The company was started in early 2009 by
athlete and founder Anthony Yap. Since that beginning
friends and family have been working tirelessly designing,
prototyping, testing and researching to make sure
that we bring you what we feel are the best kayak
designs on the market.
The motivation for Titan Kayaks grew over the last
few years. The kayak industry started to be overwhelmed
by large corporate companies, athletes were having
a hard time getting their ideas for designs heard
and it seemed like the industry was more about making
money then it was about the paddlers they were designing
for.
Memories of a time in the sport resonated through
a few paddlers who could remember when team athletes
weren't just paddlers who happened to paddle the same
boats but were actually a team, when designs were
unique and radical and when those designs were shaped
by paddlers themselves. It were these ideas that spawned
the creation of Titan Kayaks in an effort to recapture
part of the kayak culture that slowly seemed to be
fading.
Our goal is to remain a small, grass roots company.
A company capable of listening to the paddlers and
taking their dreams of what they would like to see
on the water and to make it a reality, and to help
bring back that close team feeling and sense of community
that we all as paddlers should feel a part of.
We're not in it for the money, status, or global
river domination, we're simply here for you, our fellow
kayakers and to do all we can to make your time on
the water as fun as possible.
Be heard!
Hey everyone!
Anthony Yap here... I wanted to write a little
something since we keep babbling on constantly about
wanting to hear what you the fellow paddlers have
to say. When we said that we were open to paddlers
sharing their ideas with us here at the Titan HQ we
meant it. And so I invite everyone and anyone to please
come and share your ideas with us. Whether they are
ideas on actual boat design, products you'd like to
see on the market, places you might like to see a
demo day organized, or even just your thoughts on
the kayaking world in general, please feel free to
email me personally!
I'm often on the road promoting and testing out
new designs and sometimes when on expedition may not
be in reaching distance of a laptop, but I'm pretty
good at the catch up game once back in the real world.
So drop me a line sometime and I'll get back to you
as soon as I'm off the river!

Happy paddling everyone!

Going Green...
As mentioned above, Titan Kayaks is dedicated to
making your time on the river as enjoyable as possible.
This includes making sure we do our part in keeping
our rivers, coast lines and lakes pristine and beautiful.
Our efforts start from what we have the most control
over, our factory and our products. Water is the most
valuable resource we have on earth, it should never
be taken for granted and most definitely never wasted.
Because of this all water used within our factory
is roof collected rain water which is treated right
here at the factory.
We use a Recyclable Linear Polyethylene plastic to
produce our kayaks. This means that not only can we
recycle any excess and scrap materials here at the
factory, but that you too can also recycle your kayak
at the end of its life.
The recyclability of your kayaks plastic should be
a serious factor in your kayak choice, a non-recyclable
kayak will only sit in landfill after it's time on
the water.
Our kayaks are wrapped and shipped out in recyclable
corrugated cardboard, and even our website is hosted
by green renewable energy servers.
This is only the beginning and over time we will
work to implement more green solutions to our production
process along with the kayak components themselves.
If you have any ideas on green solutions you feel
we could take up please email us your thoughts:
