Here a sneak peak at the newest creation to come from Titan Kayaks, introducing our creek boat for 2012, The Exile!

Here’s a film edited by Titan Team member Paul Palmer during his tour through China with WCA last month. Titan teamed up with a bunch of the students along with guest coach Ben Marr to put the new Genesis through it’s paces on some of Chinas best rivers. There’s lots more to come from the WCA guys, but heres your first taste of the young up and coming talent ripping it in China.

Now that Titan Kayaks is swinging into full production, you can find out where and when to get your hands on a Genesis in your area. In Canada, that means getting a hold of Jeremy Cane or Spencer Laidley. I had a chance to chat with them briefly the other day so you all could get to know them a bit better.

Every Fall, in the Appalachian mountains around the towns of Summersville and Fayetville West Virginia, whitewater kayakers, rafters, and whitewater enthusiasts from around the world come together for the Gauley River Festival, or Gauleyfest. One of the biggest and better known whitewater festivals in North America, Gauleyfest is a must do for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Whether its the classic Upper Gauley big rapids like Pillow or Broken Paddle, or the long mellow stretches of playspot peppered Middle and Lower, the Gauley has something for everyone. This was my first year on the Gauley since 2004, and the maiden voyage of Titan Kayaks in the North American market, so needless to say I was looking forward to another year of exciting runs and….memorable parties. The whitewater of the region is matched only by the energy of the nightime festivities and the cheap gas beer and truckstop food.
